Two Thumbs Up for Love Notes!
Erotica Revealed has given two thumbs up this month to Love Notes: A Music & Sex Anthology, edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel and published by Ravenous Romance! Love Notes, which was released in February of this year, includes my story “With Random Precision.”
Reviewer Jean Roberta said the following:
“In general, these stories do a remarkable job of describing something that is almost indescribable in words: the effects of rhythm and melody on human psyches.”
I really like that line (as well as find it astute), as music is such a compelling subject to me, especially in conjunction with eroticism. That’s one of the reasons I was so excited to be included in this anthology. I’ve also much enjoyed the other stories I’ve read in the volume, so I’m really pleased to see it get a two-thumbs-up review! The rest of the review may be found here (scroll down).
I was also delighted to see that Ms. Roberta gave my story a passing mention with, “In ‘With Random Precision’ by Emerald, the female narrator sinks deeply into sub-space while being bound with purple silk rope to the sound of a Pink Floyd classic, ‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond.’”

Writing about music seems to me the most challenging of topics, something I’d be scared to attempt myself, so congrats on pulling it off Emerald!
